The Last Sunset

The story is set in Glen Laragain, in the Western Highlands; the scene of a massacre carried out by Government troops at the end of the 1745 rebellion.
Throughout the preceding centuries visions of an eerie red sky had periodically been seen in the glen. Such visions were regarded by the inhabitants as a sign of imminent disaster.
In the years following the massacre images of the events of that day would also be witnessed there.
The story follows the adventures of three disparate groups of characters, drawn from three separate time periods, who find themselves in the glen on the anniversary of the massacre.
In a land where the boundaries between past and future events are blurred, a series of coincidences between different time periods throws the characters together at the time of the original massacre. Initially unaware of each other’s existence, they respond to the atrocities taking place around them, each in their own way altering the course of events.
All are drawn into a fight for survival, the outcome of which may alter the course of a history that some believe should not be preserved, and perhaps prevent the future holocaust, which had given birth to that ominous red sky.
